Milkin Corporation was established in 1989 under a Filipino-Italian business venture. The Company started as Designer’s Ice Cream Manufacturing Company created to formulate tailored ice cream products. This specially prepared ice cream catered well-known restaurants, hotels and food chains in a “Private Labeling” arrangement.

 

Within the same year, the company was also granted exclusive rights from Italy to manufacture, sell and distribute FIORGELATO “The Pure Italian Ice Cream” for the Philippine market. It created a big following from the AB market, which made FIORGELATO “The Ice Cream of the Elite”.

 

September 1994, paved the way for the rebirth of Fiorgelato, under a new management, thus bringing back the Original Authentic Italian Ice Cream, which is famous for being the only ice cream made from 100% pure fresh milk and with the highest quality of imported ingredients from Italy.

 

Presently, the company has penetrated various institutions like schools, exhibit halls, restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, bake shops, office lounges and scooping stations. Through this, Designer’s Ice Cream Company has gained continuous acceptance from its previous clients and now receiving positive responses from its new food & restaurant outlets. And because of this, the Company produces nothing but the best “Premium – Quality Ice Cream”.

2007. International Outlet FiorCafé also has been registered and certified Intellectual Property Owner. Milkin Corporation’s Plant and Products was granted Halal Certification.

2006. Paved the way to the birth of co-branding concept, combining the two concepts of FIORGELATO and FIOR CAFÉ in one outlet. After tapping the domestic market nationwide, the company envisions to capture the foreign market in partnership with Island Tropical Gelato and other interested investor.

2005. Fiorgelato has been registered and certified Intellectual Property Owner.

2004. The opening of outlets continued with branches at Bacolod / Iloilo provinces and other in the Visayas region till 2005 .

2003. Milkin Corporation began to capture the market outside Metro Manila hence opening outlets Nationwide from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

2002. Milkin Corp. through its subsidiary, FIORGELATO INC. ventured into a medium- sized Gelato-Kiosk type of scooping stations and the introduction of the GELATERIA CAFE fine Dine-in. A concept that will showcase all the finest products of FIORGELATO... all in one roof.

2000. Milkin Corp., true to its vision to advocate good quality food & services, created a new company... Fiorgelato Café. Conceptualized as a gourmet café, combining the best Coffee, Pastries & Ice Cream all in one. At present, the company has stores strategically located at SM SuperMalls.

1999. The company launched its Franchise Program, geared towards strengthening its presence in the market through the network of scooping outlets & carts, serving ice cream in cones & cups. At present, the company has (50) outlets all over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

1995. The company, in its efforts to expand its line of products & market share, took over Maynila Ice Cream, the company famous for its authentic Filipino & All Natural Ice Cream. At present, traditional Sorbetero Carts are still very active in catering parties, fairs & special occasions.
